| Payment: | Your sitting fee is due at the beginning at the session. Your print orders can be made by phone, e-mail, or in person here at the studio, where you may use cash, check, or credit card |
| Your Session: | I want to work with you to schedule a time that works well for everyone involved! I typically spend 45-75 minutes on a photo session but am willing to spend longer if needed. I am laidback and casual by nature and extend that to my photography. I won't pressure a child into posing and smiling. I strive to just catch them being themselves and capture their natural expressions. I completely understand that small babies need breaks for diaper changing, feeding, etc.and I will gladly allow time for such things. However, please make sure older children are fed and well rested before each session. Prior to each session we'll chat to see which portrait type you're interest in for that session. |
| Location: | Your session can take place at many locations - in a park, in your backyard, inside your home or in my home studio (coming soon!). I love unscripted natural light photos, but, also enjoy working in the studio when this is not possible. |
Clothing
Suggestions: |
Simple
is best! Avoid busy patterns and bright colors, especially yellow or
green, as these can adversely affect your skin color. Logos and text
on clothing should also be avoided. For two or more people it is best
to coordinate their clothing, both in style and color. Remember bare
feet are always adorable! |
| Vision: | Please begin to think what you would like out of your photo session so that your photos can be a collaborative effort. I love to hear your desires and input. Please discuss this with me before our session together. |
| Proofs: | Proofs are available on a general webpage or a secure webpage. You will have the opportunity to decide which best meets your needs at the beginning of your session. Proofs are typically available within 72 hours after your session. Unless otherwise specified by you, I will include a mixture of black and white and color photos. If you do not have web access or you would just enjoy coming to the studio, you may view your proofs here. I will call you to set up an appointment when the proofs are ready for viewing. If you are viewing them via the web I will send you an e-mail when your proofs are available along with detailed instructions on how to best view them. If you place your order within 96 hours of your proofs going on the website you will receive a 5% discount off your entire order. All proofs are available for viewing on the website for two months. After that time you may still order but they will no longer be on the Recent Session page. Don't forget to include your family members in the viewing process. By sending them the web link they can view the proofs and contact me themselves with their order. I would be happy to mail any prints directly to your friends and family! |
| Sick Children: | Because I am a Mom as well as a photographer, I understand that children are sometimes sick. I also understand the desire to keep your children well. Please cancel any appointment for a sick child. I will also cancel any sessions booked at my home studio when I have a sick child. |
